Vendôme under the snow! It with these conditions that the production team of the animated film Shadows settled at 3 Allée de Yorktown, choosing it as their Résidence for a duration of 5 months. Supported by Ciclic Animation, the CNC (Aide avant réalisation), and the regional broadcasters (Bip TV & TV Tours), this also marks the culmination of 3 years of development that enables the launch of production. It brings together international talents (France, Jordan, Germany) around the true story of Ahlam, a teenage mother who fled Iraq, driven by a desire for freedom. The narrator recounts her memories in a metaphorical journey through the heart of an airport, where dreams and ghosts of the past mingle. The real Ahlam would join the team a few months later, first in Paris for a silkscreen workshop that would allow the coloring of a key image from the film. Then to Vendôme to discover the work in progress. We can’t wait to show you Shadows, a film as touching as it is necessary!
